On the third day of Christmas The Public Eye gave us ..... Jack Park!

Good Day Folks:
As promised The Public Eye (Truth To Power - www.accesstoinfo.blogspot.com; vicpopuli1@gmail.com) has given readers another gift this time MMF Plaintiff, Interlake Board of Director and exemplary citizen Mr. Jack Park.
Minister of Economic Development, Economic Development Co-Chair of Tripartite Self-Government Negotiations, Minister of Manitoba Métis Community Investments Inc., and an MMF Finance Committee Member.

This is Jack’s second consecutive term. Prior to being elected, he served on numerous Boards within the MMF. Jack is the proud single parent of his only child Tabitha, and a proud Grandfather to 4-year old Skylar. Jack is the past Chairperson of the MMF Selkirk Local for seven years. He is currently serving his second term as the 1st Vice-President of the Manitoba Association of Friendship Centers; is also the Treasurer of the Selkirk Friendship Centre and also a member of the Interim Governance Committee of the Indian and Métis Friendship Centre of Winnipeg. Mr. Park served five years in the Canadian Armed Forces and traveled to such places as Bosnia – Herzegovina and Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where he earned his American Parachutist Wings with the 82nd Airborne Division.

To explain Mr. Populi's posting. If you're MMF lawyer Murray Trachtenberg you have virtually unlimited access to the organization's taxpayer dollars - think of it as a blank cheque. Therefore, money is no object.
You can afford public funds to conduct lengthy expensive Examinations for Discovery of Defendants under oath before an official court recorder then order approximately $3/page electronic transcripts for use at pre-trial conferences and trial. However, a process exists for private citizens with limited resources. Queen's Bench Rules provides for Writen Interrogatories by which questions can be submitted to Counsel for the Plaintiffs' for each of their clients. A total of 38 pages in all were submitted. Co-Defendant Terry Belhumeur did not take advantage of this provision.
Shortly thereafter we received a letter from the good Mr. Trachtenberg refusing to answer our questions claiming they were "vexatious" and "scandalous" to which we say, "Balls!"
It always comes back to the question, "What are you hiding? What are you afraid of President Chartrand, Board of Directors and Murray Trachtenberg?
By the way, the metaphorical image used by Vic Populi in his posting this time is easy. It's from the 1976 National Lampoon film Animal House starring John Belushi but also with a significant Canadian connection - Ivan Reitman (Director), Ottawa's Dan Aykroyd and John Vernon as a College President the Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity was trying to slowly drive insane. How apropos!

Seasons Greetings!
