Just in from Murray Trachtenberg!

Received the following this morning from MMF lawyer Murray Trachtenberg.

Since we were unable to reproduce the original letter in a readable size here's what the body says (italics ours):

Attention: Honourable Madam Justice K. I. Simonsen

Dear Justice Simonsen:

Re: Manitoba Metis Federation Inc. et al vs. Terry Belhumeur et al Queen's Bench File No. CI 05-01-41955

I wish to advise that the plaintiffs intend to call two additional witnesses at the trial of this matter. Mr. William Goodon is a member of the MMF and employed by the MMF. Mr. Donald Roulette is a member of the MMF, and is also employed by the MMF. Mr. Roulette was the former Executive Director of the MMF.

Both witnesses will testify as to their regular accessing of the cybersmokesignals.com website at the material time, including the postings of the Election Petition and the two Press Releases referred to in the claim. They will also be able to identify other postings which appeared at the time and are disclosed in the plaintiffs' affidavit of documents, and testify as to the knowledgte of the website by others in the Metis community.

Speaking of Good Will, as an employee of the MMF anyone know exactly what it is he does? Ditto for Don Roulette (replaced by Oliver Boulette a few years ago) no one seems to know.

This is interesting because both individuals were on our proposed list of witnesses regected by the Case Management Conference Judge a few weeks ago. At the time Mr. Trachtenberg did not object. Wonder what has changed?

It should be noted witness lists are provisional because they can be challenged before the trial judge and a Court's previous decision overturned.
