David Chartrand learning from Team Godon!
Good Day Readers:
If you visit the Manitoba Metis Federation's website (www.mmf.mb.ca) you'll notice it has been revamped. One of the new features is a video (albeit of very poor quality) of David Chartrand announcing new membership requirements:

By September 1, 2012 every member must have supplied the results of a genealogy search plus other evidentiary documentation. Notice the deadline is well past by which the 2010 election must be called. Will this requirement extend to President Chartrand and his Board of Directors? What will happen to those members who have not met the new requirements? Will their numbers be announced and names purged from this year's "official" voters list? Why wasn't this done years ago?
Looks like the Federation's leadership is trying to get out from the technological 8-ball its been behind by emulating techniques already being unilized by the more electronically advanced Team Godon.
Sincerely,
Clare L. Pieuk
