Earlier today we received an e-mail from Mr. Macintosh who is Inquiry Counsel to the Douglas Commission the contents of which we have reproduced below. Subject to changes which the Committee may make, from my review of the file since the May 19 hearing, I believe the following is the schedule from now to, and including, June 25. (I will email you further with any changes if they arise.)

(1) The Committee is to release the "second complaint Ruling sometime this week;

(2) I will be organizing this week, for publication on June 25, the public record of the proceedings to this point. Redactions will include those requested by Ms. Block, which as I recall, include redactions to which Mr. Pratte takes no objection. (Mr. Tapper's application for the CBC, dated June 11, asks for the opportunity to make submissions regarding redactions. I would suggest that the best first step in that regard would be for Mr. Tapper to give me a call on my cell this week, 604-992-2048. It may be that the CBC will not wish to proceed with any redaction application;

(3) June 18: Written submissions from Ms. Block regarding jurisdiction for Count 4 and the Committee's letter of June 4;

(4) June 19, 4:00 p.m. Toronto time: Written submissions on behalf of Ms. Chapman for standing and funding;

(5) June 21, 4:00 p.m. Toronto time: Response to the Chapman application by Independent counsel and Ms. Block;

(6) June 21, 4:00 p.m. Toronto time: Independent Counsel Response to Ms. Block regarding the jurisdictional points concerning Count 4 and the Committee's letter of June 4;

(7) June 22, 4:00 p.m. Toronto time: Mr. Galati's reply on standing and funding for Mr. Chapman;

(8) June 25, 9:00 a.m. Winnipeg time: Mr. Pieuk and Ms. Hazen should present to Mr. Macintosh at the courthouse seven copies of their written submissions for intervening. Also at that time, Mr. Pieuk and Ms. Hazen should give copies of their written submissions to Independent Counsel and Counsel for ACJ Douglas. Note to Mr. Pieuk and Ms. Hazen. If you are able to complete your written submissions by 4:00 p.m. Winnipeg time on Thursday, June 21, instead of handing them to me on the morning of June 25, please e-mail them to me at gmacintosh@farris.com and I will distribute them to the Committee Members and others.);

(9) June 25, 10:00 a.m. Winnipeg time: CBC application; orally, for the right to twitter e-mail from the hearing room with the right of oral response by Mr. Pratte and Ms. Block; and
(10) June 25 in the hearing:

- File the public record of proceedings to date;

- Oral submissions by Mr. Galati; Mr. Pratte and Ms. Block regarding the Chapman application;

- Possible submissions by Ms. Block, pursuant to the letter from the Committee to Ms. Block dated June 8, regarding jurisdiction for and the Committee's letters of June 4;

- Oral submissions by Mr. Pieuk for intervention, with responses by Mr. Pratte and Ms. Block;

- Oral submissions by Ms. Hazen for intervention, with responses by Mr. Pratte and Ms. Block;

- The Committee expects to give oral reasons on June 25 with respect to one or more of the applications referenced above;

- Opening by Independent Counsel;

- Opening by Ms. Block;

Oral evidence (subject, of course, to any request being granted for the postponement of oral evidence to July)
