Born to be wild?

Good Day Readers:

Looking at the photographs below brought back memories of our youth and Easy Rider - remember?

Anders (Lightnin') Bruun shown above is a Winnipeg attorney addicted to speed. When he's not lawyering he can be found tinkering with one of his 7 motorcycles which include a vintage Triumph and Honda or his collection of cars from the 1950s. This past summer he and a small group from here attended the annual time trials held at Utah's Bonneville salt flats.

He was 14 mph over the existing world record for his class of bike when mechanical failure of a $3 part ended his chances on the mandatory second run. If it were us we'd sue the manufacturer for lack of performance. Mr. Bruun is already looking forward to August of next year to try again.

Anders is also Manitoba's Honorary Counsel to Denmark for the Royal Danish Counsulate in Winnipeg and has received two prestigious awards from the Queen of Denmark for outstanding service to the community. However, we know him best as the lawyer representing us in the Manitoba Metis Federation's Canadian taxpayer financed silly, little SLAPP (Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation) defamation suit against www.CyberSmokeSignals.com (www.jus.gov.mb.ca; CI 05-01-41955) being prosecuted by his "learned friend" and fellow Bencher Murray Norman Trachtenberg.
If you see him around town next Spring in his red 1950 vintage BSA motorcycle (original paint) with sidecar flag him down he may just give you a ride - that is, if he can.

Sincerely,
Clare L. Pieuk

O me O my, he looks ever so dashing standing next to his motorcycle. Is he single? Would he have space to take GaGa for a spin?!.. To celebrate like, after taking care of the Dav and Murr court case fiasco of course.

O...That would be stupendus
