Thirty dollars!

WKL has left a new comment on your post, "Get with the program Manitoba Metis change your mind-set!"
After talking with several Metis (10-15) regarding the affinity care they laughed at it. Paying $30 for a card to get a small saving at a few stores they seldom shop at doesn't work for them. The only one making anything on it is the MMF. Metis are thrifty with their money so they look to find their own deals with larger discounts. The printing of these cards and advertising may be another big waste of public tax cash.

Dear WKL:
Thank you very much for writing with the information. Like many we were unaware there's a membership fee attached to owning an affinity card. We also wonder what the interest rate is on unpaid monthly balances. Do you have to be an MMF member to qualify?
But the real indicator, however, is the number of Metis who have applied so far for the card - anyone know?
Sincerely/Clare L. Pieuk
