If only the Home Office were a bank!
Tansi/Good Day Readers:
You've got to laugh. A reader recently posted (derrylsanderson.blogspot.com) the following comment:
" I have just read the CyberSmokeSignal file given to the MMF Board of Directors at their meeting last week. David says and I quote, "Up to now, the Board of Directors has preferred to have this matter tried where it belongs - in the Court with all the evidence being placed before the Court as it becomes available. Given the amount of misinformation and rumors that have been circulating for the last few months, it is now time to set the record straight and to let you, the Metis community, know the facts."
Get this, the Provincial Board of Directors holds a meeting and within a couple days confidential documents are being quoted on the internet. If 150 Henry Avenue were a bank (Heaven forbid!), people would be walking out the front door with money falling out of their pockets. Hell, why don't they simply televise the proceedings so we can all watch them live as Members holler and shout at each other trying to figure out what to do with the lawsuit against CyberSmokeSignals which has turned into a public relations nightmare.

Presumably Murray is not Murray Trachtenberg!

You can almost see it now - the vault at Bank MMF is left wide open, employees are walking out the front door with money falling out of their pockets because the MMF leadership is anally fixated on suing CyberSmokeSignals.com! Nice, real nice .....
As a Metis person I find it quite offensive that you plan to post Metis related issues when you are not a Metis person yourself.

I would like to apologize to Clare Pieuk for my fellow Metis' borderline racist comment. Of course he he has every right to discuss Metis politics. Does that mean "Anonymous" cannot get involved in non-Aboriginal debate?
This is a thinking person's site - keep up the great work Clare!

Hi Clare,
Obviously your previous "Anonymous" reader does not understand how websites work. You've very wise to view comments before posting them.
Look what happened on derrylsanderson.blogspot.com recently. An "Anonymous" reader writes a critical article about Grassroots News. Derryl quickly gets a blistering telephone call from owner Arnold Asham and immediately pulls his reader's comments. Then he has to take flak for doing it.
What "Anonymous" can't or won't understand is as owner of this site you (Not them!) are responsible for everything posted on it. Plus the MMF leadership is litigation crazy these days trying to control what's said about them on the internet.
It's easy for "Anonymous" to talk but I wonder what they'd do if the tables were reversed. Probably the exact same thing.

Yah, Terry should have listened to that advice a LOMG time ago.
Just out of curiosity why are you NOT publishing on CSS anymore???

Yeah, Terry should have listened to that advice a LONG time ago. Just out of curiosity why are you NOT publishing on CSS anymore?

Because I was "fired" although Terry would probably not choose to use that descriptive. Here's the situation you select the appropriate term.
Approximately two weeks ago I attempted to post material to CSS.com but was unable to enter the site because the User Name and Pass Word had arbitarily been changed. When I telephoned Terry he advised me what he'd done.

I resent anonymous who said Clair should not be involved in Metis issues because he is not Metis. Clair pays taxes, Clair's tax dollars go to MMF, Clair gets sued from MMF with his own tax dollars. Now tell me Clair has no right to be involved with Metis issues. Also, Clair was advocating for Metis when his and others comments hit David where it hurts. If you don't like it, go read the funny papers or watch Archie Bunker on tv.
