The best Arnold Asham (He's got a rap sheet story)involves his second
DUI conviction in I beleive 2002. While driving home impaired from a Norway House Cree Nation Xmas party
held in Winnipeg he smashed up his van. The vehicle he drove into was believe or not a Red Nose vehicle used to transport responsible people who are impared safely home. It even made the airways.
He also is the only person known to have lost a court case to a dead
man. He was sued by an ex employee
for trying to rip him off for his hard earned commissions. Arnold lost the case and appealed it. The employee died before the appeal was heard so Arnold was confident he would win the appeal because he knew the guy wouldnt show up because he was dead so Arnold would win because the plantiff was a no show. Of course he never told the court the gentleman had passed away. To make a long story short Arnold was late for the appeal and because neither party was present at the appointed time the original verdict was upheld.
