Regarding Metis artifacts, there's a museum in the St. Boniface section of Winnipeg where they usually seem to be sent. If any of our readers have more information on the subject please let us know and we'll publish it.
As for the Bell of Batoche, over the years the name of a well known individual within the Metis community keeps circulating. What puzzles us is why can't the police solve this one they've cracked a lot more difficult cases. Realistically, it's probably going to take some serious reward money, no charges and a guarantee of anonymity before anything happens.
