You can now shout if from the rooftops everybody Jack Fleming is running!
Good Day Readers:
After a significant publishing hiatus Derryl Sanderson (www.derrylsanderson.blogspot.com) has re-emerged with the announcement Jack Fleming will be challenging Ron Chartrand for Vice-President of the MMF's Winnipeg Region. This confirms what we posted in our March 7, 2010 article, "They're Off!" based on information from a well-positioned source.
Sincerely,
Clare L. Pieuk

Former MMF Presidential Candidate To Contest For Top Winnipeg Region Job
Jack Fleming, former Executive Director of the Indian & Metis Friendship Centre and past Manitoba Metis Federation presidential candidate, has announced his intention to seek the position of Vice President, Winnipeg Region for the Manitoba Metis Federation. Fleming was soundly defeated by current MMF President David Chartrand during an earlier campaign which marked the first time I witnessed Metis politics - the good, the bad and the VERY ugly
I was a member of the Fleming team and it was the actions of a few of his key people who caused me to support Chartrand ..... does the promotional campaign material "For the record" ring a bell anyone ?
If current Winnipeg Region Vice President Ron Chartrand decides to run again, expect a landslide win for the very likeable Metis leader. The Manitoba Metis Federation election will be held later this year. Current MMF President David Chartrand has strongly indicated his intent to seek an unprecedented fourth term as Federation head honcho. Looks like the fun has begun.
