The Lori Douglas Inquiry ..... how say you?

Good Day Readers:

Last summer the Canadian Judicial Council announced it would hold a Public Inquiry into the actions of Manitoba Court of Queen's Bench Associate Chief Justice (Family Division) Lori A. Douglas. A panel of 5 Judges and a Prosecutor were named at the time but so far no mandate, date or location have been announced.

Shortly thereafter we e-mailed the Prosecutor to ask whether intervenors would be allowed to present and if so CyberSmokeBlog would like to request status in its capacity as a social media outlet. Yesterday, we finally received an e-mail from Counsel for the Inquiry Committee at the Vancouver Law Offices of Border Ladner Gervais (www.blg.com) requesting we put in writing what we are seeking and why we feel our request should be granted.

Simply stated there are too many unanswered questions regarding the conduct of Manitoba's judiciary in the matter that should be brought forward on behalf of Canadian and provincial taxpayers. Here's how you can help. E-mail CSB with your comments/recommendations/inquiries and if appropriate we'll incorporate them in our response a copy of which we'll share with you before it's sent. Be sure to indicate in your correspondence whether you'd like to remain anonymous.

How say you?

Sincerely,
Clare L. Pieuk
