Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Good Day Readers:

A few years ago we set up a Facebook Page which is becoming a monster. Fast forward to now where it seems almost every day we get a notice that so and so is now friends with so and so both of whom we don't know but that's fine. Or an e-mail that someone has posted a new item on our wall.

We should apologize because we rarely post anything there but the reason is very simple simple. Having a blog and doing it properly is very labour intensive and, therefore time consuming - which is where we have chosen to focus our energy. But don't feel guilty we also have a Twitter account that hasn't be used for quite a while. Again same reason. Or our Linkedin connection which seems to taking on a life of its own. We get requests from people asking to link with it and get regular notices that so and so and so and so and so and so are all linked to us none of whom we know.

The other day we celebrated a birthday - yes, still "39" as Jack Benny used to say. We received a couple messages one from Judith Cameron.

Although we've never met in person, several years ago we got involved lobbying against a taxpayer funded organization that we believed was engaging in unethical practices - and that's very kind. Amazing lady. Back then she was raising a family, working and, get this, received an award from then Premier Garry Doer for her outstanding community volunteer work. Could never figure where she found the time.

Then there is Gord Timmermann whom we haven't seen for over 10-years. Since then he has re-invented himself and set up a construction company. You can see his handy work - looks like he's really busy these days building cedar decks. He's a handsome as every (if that's possible) but noticed he's a little greyer and there's less of it. Then again, who among us doesn't?

Had a quick look at the page this morning and this really blew us away - his son Nathan. Last time we same him he was a little grasshopper chasing the family dog Patches around in the backyard. Now he's a handsome, strapping young man.

Finally, Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! The past while the visitor number for CyberSmokeBlog have been off the charts. We can't explain why but last month we had the highest monthly since CSB first came online back in March of 2005. May already looks like it going to set another record. Never discuss this matrix because we feel it would be bragging or boasting. Rather, we much prefer to quietly slink off into a corner to ..... GLOAT! GLOAT! GLOAT!

Sincerely,
Clare L. Pieuk
