Pat Martin's Legal Defence Fund?

Good Day Readers:

Just revisited today's Globe and Mail's article about Member of Parliament Pat Martin's announcement he'd set up an online Legal Defence Fund to help pay the defence costs of Call Centre RackNine's defamation lawsuit against him.

Have never seen anything quite like this before with a G&M story - already more than 865 comments spread over 19 pages. After reviewing all, if this is any indication Mr. Martin is not going to raise much money. The overwhelming majority (at least 95% plus) expressed anger and were incensed he'd seek financial assistance from taxpayers given his compensation package as an MP.

Will this backfire all over him? There sure wasn't any sympathy!
