The Onion does a TED!

Good Day Readers:

For the uninitiated The Onion (www.theonion.com) is a satirical web-based newspaper and entertainment site that bills itself as America's Finest's News Source. Some of it's print and video stories can at times seem uncannily realistic. It's also, well, different .....
TED (Technology, Entertain and Design), on the other hand, is a global set of conferences for thinking persons owned by the private non-profit Sapling Foundation (founded 1984) "to disseminate ideas worth spreading."
Never could the two be more different! And now for The Onion's rendition of a TED.
The duck says quack, while some animals on the farm take quite a different approach. Award-winning animal behaviouralist Peter Garcia discusses these contrasting philosophies and how we can reconcile them for a brighter future.

Dedication

This posting is dedicated to Kari D. Simpson founder of RoadKill Radio who has an Animal Farm. Recall George Orwell's Animal Farm (1945) where the nasty pigs took over after which they got rid of Farmer Jones then broke a promise to send the horses to pasture instead shipping them off to the glue factory.

Ms Simpson who has a menagerie including horses has assured CyberSmokeBlog the horses made her promise her not to get pigs. However, she has no ducks. Perhaps after listening to Peter Garcia she'd be best advised to reconsider.
