"Helicopter Pete" begins his taxpayer financed farewell tour!

Good Day Readers:

Peter MacKay is shown above on his farewell tour thanking Canadians for their generosity. By retiring now he can collect a gilt-edged, platinum, fully indexed pension at age 55 rather than 65 amounting to $128,832 per year or about $1.3 million over the decade. Had he stuck around he would have had to have contributed three times more annually and waited longer.

Here's what's also interesting. Shortly after John Baird's sudden resignation Stephen Harper went around the cabinet table asking any ministers who were not planning to run in the next election to self-declare. Ne're a word from "Helicopter Pete."

Sincerely,
Clare L. Pieuk
