There has been an arrest!

A special thank you to a dear friend of CyberSmokeBlog and lawyer who has assisted CSB over the years. For your assistance they have highlighted Entries 19 and 26 (Yellow) from the accused's Queen's Bench Disposition Sheet. Translating the Court Registry speak they show two different lawyers withdrew as Mr. Amsel's counsel of record.
Also CSB's analyst noted Entry 29 of June 22 of this year (Green) in which a Pre-Trial meeting was scheduled for September 25, 2015 before Justice Greenberg involving Maria Mitousis. Could that have triggered what happened at Petersen-King Law?

SERIOUS INCIDENT - 200 BLOCK OF RIVER AVENUE C15-138922, C15-138959 & C15-140598
As indicated earlier, investigators arrested a suspect in relation to the River Avenue explosion of July 3rd, and the Washington Avenue explosive device discovered on July 4th. Earlier tonight police discovered another explosive device at 280 Stradbrook. This is the law firm of Orle Barkman Davidson.
Police have now charged 49 year old Guido Amsel of Winnipeg. He has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, one count of aggravated assault and a number of charges related to the possession of explosives. Amsel was remanded into custody.
Police are still present at Washington Avenue and Stradbrook Street where the explosives were discovered. In addition, police continue to search a business on Springfield Road, and a residence on Pandora Avenue East associated to Amsel.
Investigators believe that the individuals targeted on River Avenue, Washington Avenue and Stradbrook Street are related. It appears Amsel has targeted his ex-wife who he has been involved with in a lengthy litigation case. It also appears he has targeted legal counsel who have represented his ex-wife or have represented him in the past.
Police are concerned that other packages could have been sent out tp other legal counsel or justice officials who have dealt with Amsel. Police are asking those individuals to be aware and be diligent in alerting police of any suspicious packages or items that may be addressed to them. The devices that have been discovered have distinct packaging and lettering. Police are imploring extreme caution if any suspicious packages are discovered. All of the discovered packages are believed to have been sent through Canada Post.
